Temporary Quality Officer (Temp to Perm opportunity)

Pay: £12.00 – £15.00 per hour
Duration: 1 – 2 months on going

Our client, a friendly college based in Richmond, is looking for an administrator to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis. The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Head of Quality and Vice Principal Curriculum and Quality as required.

Enhanced Portable DBS essential.

There are 2 options for this role: Temp until they find the permanent person or Temp-to-perm contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • To administer the college processes for OTLA. This includes liaising with school administrators and programme managers regarding observation dates, logging details of completed observations, filing and chasing up outstanding reports as required and collating information in report format.
  • To administer the course evaluation and outcomes survey. This includes data entry, monitoring response rate and motivating a high response rate, collating results in report format, undertaking initial analysis, and dissemination/distribution of such reports.
  • To administer other surveys as required, and surveys for local authority community learning and special projects. This can include telephone, face-to-face, online and paper-based surveys.
  • To assist the Head of Quality with preparation of data and initial data analysis for quality monitoring meetings and self-assessment reporting.
  • To assist in internal and external quality reviews and inspections and other quality improvement activities. This may involve telephoning a sample of learners to ascertain quality of provision.
  • To support the Head of Quality in ensuring college compliance with the requirements of Awarding Organisations (AOs). This will involve liaising with curriculum staff and external visitors and overseeing arrangements for visits.
  • To support the Head of Quality and Heads/Director of Teaching and Learning in updating materials such as the Learner Handbook, Course File, Learner Induction materials, Course Team Meeting slides etc.
  • To support the Head of Quality in coordinating the training and development programmes for academic staff, and maintaining records of such training.
  • To provide general administrative support to the Head of Quality as required.
  • To maintain good organisation of the IT resources of the Quality team, including overseeing the organisation of materials on the Quality section of the college IT network, the VLE, and Microsoft Teams.
  • To liaise and communicate as necessary with curriculum staff, in order to support the Quality Team in completing its work effectively and directly to support learner and tutor training needs as appropriate.

 

Person Specification

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Administration experience including establishing, maintaining and updating filing, IT and database systems
  • Experience of using initiative and resolving problems
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively in order to meet deadlines
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence in communicating effectively with a range of client groups
  • Enhanced Portable DBS desirable
