Higher Education – SQL developer – Funding Forecasts
Temp to perm position.
An experienced Transact SQL developer is required to develop a bespoke funding forecasting tool for use in the curriculum planning process and throughout the academic year for projecting year-end fee and funding totals.
Projections need to incorporate a range of inputs, including actual (known) funding income, class sizes, funding status, retention rates, achievement rates and factors relating to the curriculum plan.
Experience in the education sector is required, as is a comprehensive understanding of the following areas:
– ILR / FIS
– ESFA (and devolved) AEB funding rules
– Retention and achievement rates
– Learning aims
– Curriculum plans
Experience of REMS is highly desirable.
Candidates should have significant experience of developing complex T-SQL queries, views and stored procedures in SQL Server.
They must also be able to design and test different approaches, based on the range of data available, in order to establish the most reliable and accurate forecasting solution.
