Sales Assistant/ Trade Counter

Working hours – 5 days out of 7 days on rota basis – 2 days off per week

Hours – 7.30 -4.30pm Monday – Friday, Saturday 8.00am- 3.00pm, Sunday 10.00am- 3.00pm

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, outgoing and customer orientated sales advisor to join the team at the showroom in Twickenham for one of our clients, a well-established distribution company.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a varied role, perfect for a candidate who enjoys a physical element to a role as well as customer services and administration. Daily tasks will include:

• Supporting the team and managers in day-to day sales serving and greeting retail and trade customers and helping with any technical requirements or advice the client may need.
• To include generating and increasing sales via excellent customer service
• Taking telephone orders, preparing customer quotations and purchase orders for the warehouse team and sales staff.
• Assisting in the warehouse, picking customer orders, ordering stock and replenishment
• Reporting missing and damage goods and assisting sales team with daily orders.
• Some heavy lifting may be involved
• Occasionally to work at another local showroom to cover absence and holiday for colleagues
• A DRIVING LICENCE IS NOT REQUIRED

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A confident telephone manner and good English language skills (written/oral).
• Sociable outgoing personality
• Trade counter / retail or customer services experience
• Friendly, attentive and organised.
• A forklift license (counterbalance) would be preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
• Must be physical fit – some lifting and manoeuvring of heavy objects and boxes will be required
