PR and Social Media Manager – Maternity Contract

Based in Surbiton. Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum.

 

We are currently recruiting for a PR and Social Media Manager to cover a long-term maternity cover within a leading brand within the heart of Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about PR, marketing, familiar with a variety of social media platforms and has had experience managing people and processes.

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Degree educated (or equivalent) – Marketing/PR/ Journalism is desirable
  • Understanding of marketing communication channels and relevant knowledge of PR
  • Able to organise/prioritise workload & meet deadlines Driven and committed to key objectives
  • Able to manage budgets and adapt to revisions
  • Fluent and articulate in English – written and verbal
  • Highly professional with good organisational skills and ability to lead on own initiative
  • Good working experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage projects, events and campaigns from conception to delivery
  • Understanding of premium brands
  • Reliable, punctual with excellent attention to detail
  • Trustworthy & approachable
  • Media landscape & Social Media
  • Team player with ability to lead and act as spokesperson where needed
  • Line-management experience is desirable
  • Experience in technology or photographic brands with interest in Technology, Blogging, Vlogger would be desirable

 

Key Responsibilities: –  

 

  • Develop and initiate PR and social media strategy in line with business goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate launch activities and press events
  • Coordinate product review programme
  • Support the marketing manager with any management issues
  • Write press releases, ensuring relevancy to targets’ interests – delivery incremental coverage for both online and print coverage
  • Develop and initiate social media strategy – focusing on customer acquisition, customer retention and brand engagement
  • Create the content calendar
  • Proactively seek new opportunities and experiment with ways to leverage earnt medic activities to develop product and brand awareness
  • Monitor and report on coverage as required to sales, marketing and management teams and head office
  • Liaise with suppliers
  • Manage and reconcile the loan stock system
