Part time Financial Assistant/Bookkeeper
Monday to Friday 20 hours per week, flexible start and finish times!
Salary: £20k (22 hours per week)
Based in Woking

A great opportunity has arisen to work as a Bookkeeper/ Financial Assistant for a growing business based in Woking. To manage all aspects of the finance process within the business along with assisting and working closely with the Director team and to assist other departments on administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping and daily management of the company’s accounts
  • All aspects of Sales & Purchase Ledgers
  • Prepare weekly invoicing for clients to be signed off by director
  • Set payments up fortnightly for contractors to be paid
  • Helping prepare management accounts
  • Report on Departmental financial KPIs
  • Credit Control including preparation and dispatch of debtor statements
  • Reconciling bank accounts in Xero
  • Managing & processing the company payroll
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Manage Petty Cash
  • Completing CIS returns and reconciling retention payments
  • Preparing accounts for FD to review
  • Dealing with all areas of finance administration and management
  • Helping within the office administration
  • Prepare a weekly cashflow
  • Maintain vital relationships with suppliers and key business partners
  • Acts as the main point of contact for any finance requests
  • Other adhoc projects

Person Specification:

  • Previous accounts payable or accounts receivable experience
  • Xero experience
  • Experience of monthly valuations, CIS & retentions
  • IT Savvy with advanced Excel
  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills both written & spoken
