We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Content Executive for a company based in Surrey. The main function of the role is to assist the Marketing Manager with all aspects of online and off line content generation, including the development of news stories and articles for both the website, newsletter and trade press. Although this role is mostly office based, the role does require ad hoc travel within in the UK to attend shows and exhibitions as well as trips to gather information for publications.
The ideal candidate for the Marketing Content Executive must posses:
Essential: A very confident writer with an excellent knowledge of the English language with the hawk-eye for accurate punctuation and grammar.
Essential: Solid experience in technical or scientific writing
A PR, English or Communication in Science qualification or relevant degree
General marketing experience across events, advertising, literature production, website management, copywriting (release and articles) and PR
At ease using Microsoft Office Applications, Social Media platforms as well as website content management system
A good communicator either face to face or via telephone/email
Target driven and disciplined to achieving goals and meeting deadlines
Desirable: Adobe Photoshop and InDesign publishing experience, Video editing. Experience with Marketing Email Campaign platforms such as Dotmailer or similar
Duties of the Marketing Content Executive:
PR – Interview industry personas and develop articles. Proactively manage the PR activity, identify the appropriate media channels including developing contacts in PR magazines, identifying and writing feature article opportunities, writing press releases and commissioning specialist articles for external placements
Developing Website content – Maintain the quality (proofreading) and update with new content the information on the website from news stories and articles to events info and technical documents
News and emails – Creation of daily news digest, weekly newsletter and training newsletters content
Brochures, Flyers– Develop the content of marketing literature and collateral as required
Media – Management of YouTube account, ad hoc video processing and production, photography. Content submission to our social media accounts
Daily management of third-party agencies such as PR, design and online news service agencies
Answering telephone to provide the general assistance.
Provides support to other marketing functions including helping at the events
Provide support and cover for the Marketing team during absence and holidays
