[17837] - Management Accountant

Fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join an international organisation supporting a dynamic Finance Director and team in preparing the quarterly management accounts and assisting in overall improvement of the current controls and processes.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of quarterly management accounts
• Preparation of monthly operating statement
• Review of basic journals prepared by accounts assistants
• Monthly stock reconciliation
• Liaising and challenge of Dept Heads wrt. Overhead costs
• Input and challenge of Budget/Re-forecast assumptions around costs (twice per annum)

• Assist the FD with process improvement – in particular to that around stock reconciliation between Finance and Sales systems, DA’s, unprocessed GRNS etc.
• Assist the FD with coordinating and collating information from an annual audit
• Assist with developing a process for reviewing/challenging the accuracy of Standard Costs with the aim of moving this to a quarterly review.

Dealing with Queries and other ad-hoc work from other areas of the business
