[18586] - Legal Assistant – Conduct Ethics EAPM Executive

Legal Assistant – Conduct Ethics EAPM Executive – Temporary position – ( approximately 3 months )

As Conduct Ethics EAPM Executive, you will facilitate the Code of Conduct and Ethics functions of the CIPD & the EAPM Secretariat. This role supports the Code of Conduct team and takes the lead on investigations and complaints. This role plays a key part in the organisation, working quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards and quality relationships with all stakeholders.

Duties:

  1. Managing the inbox; managing case files and tracker;
  2. Supporting the screening of complaints, documentation and execution of the relevant processes;
  3. Investigations management: coordinating & undertaking interviews; witness, member & complainant submissions; leading volunteer panel members; preparing & redacting documents; drafting investigation reports & recommendations.
  4. Conduct hearings: preparing bundles; taking notes/minutes; drafting Hearing reports; executing sanctions.
  5. Researching potential complaints for presentation to Designated Officers.
  6. Monitoring an online forum for ethical dilemmas: managing the functionality and development of the forum, working with internal colleagues and stakeholders; monitoring the dilemmas raised, escalating where appropriate.
  7. Collation and analysis of statistics & insights from the Code of Conduct cases and online forum, developing case studies and materials; coordinating & supporting ethics events & focus groups; development & issue of surveys; working with internal teams.

 Skills:

  • Report writing skills.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Legal  and or governance/regulatory/disciplinary/investigation knowledge/experience would be an advantage.
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work under time constraints.
  • Able and willing to operate flexibly and switch priorities when necessary, able to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy, with ability to use Microsoft office and teams to a high standard are essential.
