A new opportunity has arisen for an HR / Employee Relations Manager with extensive experience dealing with high volume employee relations cases  for a friendly organisation based in Surrey.  The position requires the candidate to be a car driver and be willing to travel around Surrey on occasions to fulfil the requirements of the job.

The position is an integral role within the organisation and includes managing a small team.  The key elements of the job includes the ability to nurture, coach and train managers to deal with everyday ER matters and sometimes complex cases. Empathy and the ability to build relationships across the organisation will be essential.

Key requirements

• Degree educated, CIPD Level 7 desirable
• HR Generalist at Advisor level exposure essential
• Must have knowledge and skills to update HR policy and processes.
• Car owner/driver essential – must be able to travel to multiple sites.
• Working Knowledge of HR Relations, including grievance and disciplinary
• Possess up to date employment law knowledge
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid MS office skills
• Knowledge of GDPR and impact
• As strong relationship builder with skills to easily gain trust
Key Responsibilities: –
• Work as part of the HR team, working closely with all departments, predominantly in an advisory role, assisting line managers to understand and implement HR related policies and procedures.
• Take the lead on significant ER issues including complex disciplinary and grievance matters, performance management, acting within legislative boundaries and consistency of approach.
• Work as part of the HR team, working closely with all departments, predominantly in an advisory role, assisting line managers to understand and implement HR related policies and procedures.
• Support the business in change management including team restructuring and, redundancy management and avoidance where possible.
