We are recruiting on behalf of an international SME for a high-performing Head of Sales and Marketing to work as part of the senior management team to grow opportunities and ensure their lead generation and revenue growth objectives are met.
Responsibilities include developing key growth sales & marketing strategies, tactics and action plans and ensuring the successful execution of these strategies to achieve financial targets. Duties will include ensuring annual and quarterly targets are met, building relationships and understanding customer trends.
My client is not looking for someone to actively act in a sales capacity themselves. Instead the focus and skills required are a leader who can drive improvements in sales and marketing performance through existing teams and remote teams globally.
Key experience and skills required:
Ability to contribute to the overall strategy and business objectives, analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement
Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing/directing a small sales team with a consultative sales approach
Previous experience of developing and driving teams to achieve objectives, coaching and training team members to improve performance
Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics focused on driving leads and turnover.
Understanding of PPC and Social Media as a tool in driving leads and building customer engagement
Ability to communicate, present to and influence all levels of the organisation
Proven ability to develop others to drive the sales process from plan to close, pinpointing problems and identifying ways of “doing it better”
Proven ability to articulate and train others in the distinct aspects of products and services, including positioning those products against competitors
Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
