Credit controller/ sales ledger – 6mths FTC

To provide a comprehensive and effective credit control service and to assist the Sales Ledger Executive with the administration of the sales ledger and the resolution of queries

Key tasks

  1. Chasing outstanding debt via email and telephone to expedite payment of invoices within payment terms and conditions.
  2. To follow up with telephone calls to reinforce the need for prompt payment.
  3. To post cash received
  4. To investigate queries raised on outstanding invoices, liaising with Finance and other areas in order to resolve queries quickly and efficiently.
  5. To assist the Sales Ledger Executive with the administration of the sales ledger and the resolution of queries on internal and external customer accounts.
  6. To cover staff absence within the Sales Ledger Team.

This is a role which involves good customer service skills along with the ability to deal assertively and confidently with non-payers, whilst remaining polite and professional.

As with all roles within Finance, the job holder will need to be prepared to be flexible and adaptable to ensure department deadlines are met and internal controls adhered to.
