Business Development Manager

Based in Surrey. Salary: £40,000 per annum.

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a well-established organisation based in the Surrey area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent relationship management skills.

 Person Specification for Business Development manager:

  • Good knowledge of relationship management and solution sales
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and learn quickly
  • Ability to lead manage a tender bid process
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • The successful business development manager must have strong negotiation skills
  • Highly professional individual who is committed
  • Full clean driving license

Key Responsibilities for Business Development Manager: –  

  • To achieve annually agreed sales levels
  • Manage and gain new clients, develop relationships and help to build the business
  • Develop strategies to successfully take on new business opportunities
  • As a business development manager you will create and execute bid responses, proposals and presentations
  • Lead internal briefings on opportunities to seek new business
  • Complete reports and use the CRM system
  • Make suggestions and implement changes to improve the overall department quality and efficiencies
  • To work with other areas of the business to assist in gaining information required to complete proposals or bid responses within required timescales
  • Plan your weekly activity to help prioritise the tasks that need to be completed in order to successfully achieve the objectives for that week, accurately and on time;
  • Attendance of external events such as exhibitions to represent the company and develop relationships
  • Lead and carry out implementation plans to transition new prospect wins into the account management team in a timely fashion and ensuring attention to detail in communicating the needs of the client into workable processes
  • To maintain a professional attitude, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
  • To undertake and complete development solutions as deemed necessary and as required in the performance of the role
