[25343] - Building Maintenance Engineer

Our client is seeking a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer carry out reactive and PPM works at a site based in Kingston Upon Thames.

This role has fantastic opportunities to develop and progress within the industry.

You will be required to work Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with overtime opportunities available.

On completion of probation, you will be added to the on-call rota, which is approx. every 6 weeks (Paid extra)

This is an immediately available role in a dynamic and prestigious building working as part of a close-knit team. This role offers training and internal career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Required to be very technically strong with great fault-finding abilities and a desire to work in a demanding yet rewarding environment.
• Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all electrical plant following Site task schedules and asset lists.
• Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to always maintain plant in serviceable order.
• Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
• Ensure that all relevant jobs on the CAFM system via your personal tablet / phone is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.

Person Specification

• Worked within building services for the last 5 years.
• City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical qualifications/plumbing
• Ideally has experience working within a University / Hospital
• Must be well presented with good interpersonal skills as this is a client-facing roll.
• Relevant work experience – PPMS, FCS, BMS Electrical Power Supplies, AHU’s Chillers – Water treatment
