Immediate opportunity to join a friendly company who are looking to grow the business and they require a candidate with good all round bookkeeping and finance experience with some exposure to dealing with stock control to support their current accountant.
The ideal candidate will have an accountancy qualification, degree, AAT or similar, and be familiar with accounting principles and statutory regulations.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Recording financial transactions
Handling accounts payable and receivable
Completing VAT return
Compiling monthly management accounts working with the accountant
Paying regular bills for the company
Maintaining company ledgers
Handling client invoices by recording and approving or denying the payments
Invoicing for goods and services provided when required, raising credit notes.
Maintaining office supplies by keeping an inventory and ordering new supplies as required
Stock control of all consumables, parts and machines both physically and on the computer
Setting efficient reorder levels & reorder quantities based on the latest sales demand
holding minimum stocks of products and parts for use by the service department based on likely usage
produce the up to date historical data required on a monthly basis.
Stock control method – using a Maximum/Minimum stock management system to maintain adequate levels of stock
Candidates will need to have a good working experience of Excel and Sage accounting
