My client is looking for an experienced accounts administrator with working  experience of Sage Line 50 and competent skills in Excel.

Candidates must be happy to work in a small but busy office and help out in other areas where necessary. The position is very much about working as part of a team and a flexible personality is essential.

Main duties

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts/petty cash (weekly & monthly)
  • Monthly payroll & pension contributions
  • Daily checking of bank accounts to ensure rental payments are received and amounts are correct
  • Petty Cash spreadsheet — updated weekly
  • Chasing late payments
  • Paying contractor invoices
  • Preparing invoices for contractors commission & chasing any late payments
  • Monthly comparison report
  • Opening/closing of  deposits
  • Preparation of deposit refund statements
  • VAT Returns (quarterly)
  • Preparation and processing Sage for Year End to go to Accountant
  • NRL quarterly tax forms to Inland Revenue
  • Annual NRL form
  • Preparation of rental statements
  • Downloading invoices (02/Eon)
  • Monthly/yearly journals on Sage
  • Annual analysis of income & expenditure for some Landlords
  • Reserve Fund reconciliation
  • Daily backups of Sage
  • Monthly backups of Basic PAYE Tools
  • Sending courtesy reminder emails for new customers
  • Ensuring up to date professional indemnity held for each contractor
  • Reading of Gas Meter and submitting reading through CNG website around 27th each month
  • Sending out property inspection & gas safety letters
  • Assisting with general office admin (answering phone/emails and filing) & maintenance
