CV Tips

Your CV is your opportunity to introduce yourself and speak on your behalf!

The general rule is that your CV should be no more than two pages long; it should be a succinct account of your skills and experience.

Bullet points are far easier for the client to read than a long explanation of your responsibilities and experience (written in this way will also keep you focused on the key areas of your experience).

If you include a personal profile- make sure it is relevant and brief. Include your main skills and experience and any personal achievements.

Always start with your most recent employment/experience and work backwards
Always cover gaps in employment with an explanation
List your qualifications including grades
Only include languages if you are of a fluent standard
IT skills should be clarified with standard of proficiency
Do not list references
Do not lie on your CV!
Good luck and feel free to contact Absolutely Recruitment if you require more detailed advice.
