A Surrey based distribution company is looking to recruit a new Purchasing Administrator.

The main responsibilities will be:

  • Maintaining stock levels in accordance with company targets and company requirements
  • Dealing with daily ordering of required items
  • Liaising with the suppliers in regards to pricing
  • Delivery and managing old stock.
  • Booking stock onto the company system S
  • Sourcing alternative products, and chasing outstanding deliveries.

The skills needed for this role include:

  • Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail, thoroughness and a methodical approach to work
  • Establishing strong team relationships and being able to work effectively in a group environment
  • Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner, adjusting tone in regards to audience
  • Showing a genuine interest in customer service; ensuring the needs of the customer are met in a beneficial and conscientious manner.
  • Managing time effectively; adapting to changes and daily work schedules and having a flexible work ethic to use your time in a useful manner
  • Strong computer literacy and numeracy; with strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

We are looking for someone who has some experience in a similar role, and has a good understanding of basic warehouse operations.
