The role of Regional Account Manager exists to manage sales growth in the company’s #1 Account and, working with your team, a defined portfolio of other Key and National Accounts in the Health & Beauty channels. There will also be an element of new business development (10%). There is an average of turover £12M gross, and the key requirement would be people management excluding stakeholders.  This role will be a mixture of in-house and on the road and involves regular customer visits.



  • This is a big role in the company and so strong sales experience, with management of key accounts at head office level is required.
  • Able to demonstrate People-Management experience (direct or indirect).
  • Negotiation of annual trading terms contracts.
  • Experience in a fast-moving category, with evidence of working with EPOS/Sales-out data.
  • MS Office, Excel & Powerpoint.
  • Able to demonstrate personal motivation and drive to deliver results.
  • Full driving licence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Negotiation of multi-year customer contracts, ensuring profitable business forecasting by following the company financial planning process.
  • Management of Team to set goals & motivate to achieve budgeted growth.
  • Development and selling new ranges across Sunglasses and Reading Glasses on a seasonal basis.
  • Development and implementation/management of Customer Account/Business Plans to deliver budgeted growth objectives.
  • Focus on customer Sales-Out to develop ideas plans to optimise sales and efficiencies and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Management of customer inventories and working with Customer Service team to ensure adequate replenishment and/or merchandising calls are made.
  • Weekly sales reporting and update of quarterly Sales Forecast.
  • Involvement in annual/quarterly reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Working with internal teams to identify and develop new licences & ranges.
  • Involvement in adhoc projects and requests.
